Clear, concise and creative

Even on a first flick of this book, I knew it would be invaluable for students, parents, Teachers and Careers Advisors. I chose to review this book because I knew little about the area of getting into law. After reading I found that I was informed and confident enough to be able to advise students and parents and signpost them to particular areas of interest.

The book is cleverly organised with handy hints and tips on different areas of law along with extra information that makes Getting into Law the go-to book.

A comprehensive guide explaining how to qualify as a lawyer, obtain work experience and funding.

This practical book explains the differences between solicitors, barristers and legal executives and what they do. It details how to qualify as a lawyer in the different areas of the United Kingdom. There are also suggested career options for those who do not decide to go into law after obtaining a law degree. The inclusion of up-to-date case studies, statistics and fact boxes is appealing. One chapter describes how important it is to gain work experience. Highlights the UCAS application, interview advice and funding options. Further information lists useful websites, books and journals. The glossary is a handy tool. A clear and helpful publication for potential students.
