Emma Hill

Emma Hill is a Career Development Consultant at Edinburgh Napier University with over 18 years’ experience across Further Education, Higher Education, and community-based career development. Her work focuses on creative, inclusive approaches to career learning, with a particular interest in the potential of group-based practice.

Emma gained a Certificate in Professional Group Coaching in 2023 and quickly recognised the unique power of working with groups to facilitate insight, connection and action. Since then, she has designed and delivered group career coaching programmes for a wide range of audiences, including MBA students, PhD researchers, and new graduates. She has also contributed to the development of group guidance practice through training delivery for Skills Development Scotland and presentations to colleagues at the Graduate Futures Institute and the Career Development Institute.

Emma’s approach is grounded in curiosity, collaboration and psychological safety, creating spaces where individuals can learn from each other and explore their career journeys with greater confidence and clarity.
