Online Resources
Many of our books have accompanying online resources that readers can download free of charge as PDFs from our website. These resources are designed to complement the book by providing practical, ready-to-use tools that can be used either alongside the book or independently.
Resources may include editable versions of tools featured in the book, as well as bespoke bonus materials that further support the book’s practical content.
We ask authors to aim to provide at least six resources.
There is a wide range of resource types to choose from, including exercises and activities, lesson plans, worksheets, guidance documents, checklists, cheat sheets, templates and bonus materials. You can browse the resources available for our existing books here: Free resources by book title.
The Process
Your Commissioning Editor will discuss ideas for the online resources for your book with you at proposal stage.
The aim is to have agreed a list of the online resources with your Commissioning Edito by the time you deliver your draft manuscript.
Your Commissioning Editor will then ask you to submit draft versions of the resources as individual Microsoft Word files within two weeks of delivering your final manuscript.
We will review the draft resources and provide feedback, giving you an opportunity to make any necessary amendments.
Once you submit the final versions, we will work with our production company to have the resources professionally designed as editable PDFs. They will also be proofread in-house at this stage.
Draft PDFs will be shared with you for review and feedback before the resources are published.
Our Managing Editor will ensure that any references to the online resources within the book are accurate and kept up to date throughout the production process.
We will create and set up a dedicated webpage on our website to host the resources. The online resources will be made available on our website on or before the book’s publication date.
