Paul Redmond

Dr Paul Redmond is a speaker, researcher and author. He is currently Director of Student Experience and Enhancement at the University of Liverpool and one of the UK’s leading experts on the graduate employment market, generational change, and the future of work.

During his career, he has worked at several of the world’s leading universities and has been responsible for guiding the careers of thousands of students and graduates. As a leading speaker and writer, he has presented at numerous conferences and events around the world and has worked with many leading organisations. In addition to writing regularly for national newspapers and other publications, he is a frequent guest on both radio and TV, appearing on numerous BBC and independent news and current affairs programmes, including BBC’s The Jeremy Vine Show. For over a decade, he has authored a regular and highly popular diary column for the UK’s Institute of Student Employers. For his writing and research, Paul has been awarded a Fellowship with the Royal Society of Arts.

Dr Alan is a Fellow of Birkbeck College, University of London, where his research interests focus on the psychology of cycle-commuting; understanding how behaviour change happens in relation to decisions to ride to work.

You may spot him in all weathers cycling from the South Downs to the sea on his way to the Clevry offices. He has been seduced by the complicated joys of cycling up steep hills; his time in the saddle has given him a thousand-yard-stare, a determined set to his jaw, and oily fingernails.
