New academic monograph series

Trotman Studies in Careers, Employability and Transitions

We are delighted to announce the launch of Trotman Studies in Careers, Employability and Transitions, a new international academic monograph series, with Professor Tristram Hooley appointed as Series Editor. The first three titles will publish in Autumn 2026.

As Professor of Career Education at the University of Derby and Visiting Professor at Inland Norway University and Canterbury Christ Church University, Professor Hooley brings a wealth of scholarly expertise and a strong international perspective. Working closely with Alexandra Price, Publisher at Trotman, he helps shape the intellectual direction and reputation of the series, ensuring it reflects the most rigorous, innovative and relevant research in career education, guidance and development.

The series features high‑quality, research‑driven monographs that make a meaningful contribution to the study of careers and employability. Showcasing original scholarship, it advances theoretical, empirical and practice‑based knowledge, with a strong emphasis on academic rigour, innovation and global relevance.

Publishing approximately three to five titles each year, the series includes both single‑authored monographs and carefully curated edited collections. It actively encourages work that:

  • advances theoretical, empirical and practice‑based knowledge
  • offers innovative and interdisciplinary perspectives
  • explores global and comparative approaches

Interdisciplinary and boundary‑crossing research is particularly welcomed, supporting new and emerging areas of inquiry within and beyond the field.

Aimed at researchers, advanced practitioners and postgraduate students, the series is primarily published for institutional and library markets worldwide, offering authoritative and enduring resources for study and scholarship.
